A prototype with two SWEAT modules has been in operation since April 2003. The prototype measures performance over a range of operating conditions.
The long-term stability of the performance is studied as well.
The prototype has been realised with support from the Dutch Energy Saving programme EDI (www.senter.nl).

A simulation model of the SWEAT system has been built, based on Matlab-Simulink.
The model is used to analyse different configurations and operational conditions and to optimise the design of SWEAT modules for specified cooling performances (storage capacity, peak performance, etc.)
